Do not fear to look within
The teacher’s voice did sing.
Awakening, my hungry heart took flight,
Plunging toward the darkness
My fearful heart had known
absorbing
The finality of death.
Do not fear to look within today
The soothing whisper came.
Vipassana…look deeply..
The loving voice did coo
Melting my fear, embracing the hunger,
Sating the urge denied for years…
Oh years..
That tore at the traces of ancient fear
That had for years…and years uncounted
Restrained my hunter’s heart...
That now did plunge into that night
To see the poets’ stars
And gentle moons that glowed
With long sought light.
Those gentle jewels that glowed
With the masters’ promise
Of love so long resisted.
Do not fear to look within
The loving voice did urge
And finding there
The courage to open my eyes
And behold the sight of
Arms thrown open
In welcoming embrace,
And entering my opening heart
Did so gently weep
As all those fears and all those years
Did melt away….in love
